Referral Program Questions
Do I have to be a past customer to refer someone?
No. If you know someone who needs exterior work, send them our way. Neighbors, coworkers, family, your realtor’s client list — it all counts the same.
Does my referral have to be in Madison or Dane County?
That’s where nearly all our work is, and anyone in Dane County definitely qualifies. We do take jobs in Rock, Columbia, and Jefferson counties depending on the season — so if your neighbor is just outside the line, send the name and we’ll tell you whether we can get there. The referral pays either way if we book it.
What if they don't end up hiring you?
Then nothing happens and you owe us nothing. There’s no downside to referring someone who doesn’t move forward.
Does my referral pay more because I'm getting a check?
No. The $250 comes out of our marketing budget, not their quote — it’s cheaper for us than buying the same lead through Google Ads. They get the same pricing we’d give anyone who called us cold. You can tell them that.
Can I refer myself for my own second project?
No — the referral has to be a different household. But repeat customers get their own pricing, so call us directly and ask.
What if two people refer the same person?
First submission wins, by timestamp. This is exactly why the form beats “just have them mention my name” — it puts a date on it.
How will I know if they signed?
We email you when the contract is signed and again when your payment goes out. You won’t have to chase us for a status update.
Is there a deadline?
The program is open-ended, but each referral has a 90-day attribution window. If they sign 4 months after you submit the name, we can’t credit it.
