Emergency Roof Repair in Evansville

If water is coming in right now, call. Here is the honest version: Evansville is about 28 miles from our shop, which is further than most of the markets we serve. We will get to you and we will tell you a real arrival time rather than saying we are on our way and turning up three hours later.

Local conditions

What to expect when you call

Distance changes the answer to some questions and not others. Here is what it actually means.

Arrival time

A real number

From a standing start we are roughly an hour out, longer if a crew has to come off another job first. We will give you a time and update you if it changes. The thing we will not do is tell you we are on our way when we have not left.

After a regional storm

The queue is real

When a hail core moves through this area, every contractor within fifty miles is booked in a day. We triage by active water entry rather than by call order, and we will tell you honestly where you sit rather than promising a morning we cannot make.

What you can do first

It matters more at distance

Because we are further out, what you do in the first hour has more effect here than it would in Madison. Containing water inside and draining a bulging ceiling deliberately limits the damage while we are en route.

Ice dams

Not an emergency, usually

An ice dam with active dripping needs attention quickly. An ice dam with no interior water is a scheduled job, and we will say so rather than charging emergency rates for something that can wait until Tuesday.

Emergency services in Evansville, WI

24-hour tarping

Secured properly so it holds through the next system, not draped and weighted.

Honest arrival times

A real number when you call, and an update if it changes.

Leak diagnosis

The entry point is often not above the stain. We trace it rather than guessing.

Ice dam steam removal

Steam, never chipping. Chipping damages the shingles you are trying to protect.

Whole-house documentation

While we are there, we document everything for the claim rather than making a second trip.

Permanent repair scheduling

The tarp is temporary. We book the real fix at the same visit.

Details that matter

What to do before we get there

These matter more at 28 miles than they would at five. None of them require going outside.

I'm extremely impressed with the Exteriors company and their work. We had a strange door/lock issue, called MANY companies and the Exteriors Company was the only company willing to come and look at our door. They called me right back when I left a message, were on time for the appointment and did a wonderful job in fixing the problem. Tony and Andrew are the best! In addition to fixing the problem, they were extremely kind people, too. We need more of this in our world now. We are extremely grateful to have a working door again. Thank you! We will be using your company again and tell all of our friends about your services.

The Exteriors Company deserves 6 out of 5 ⭐ I cannot give them enough praise. I'll summarize here in case you don't want to read a lengthy review. The highlights were communication, quality of work, price, and customer service. I cannot wait to work with The Exteriors Company again. The Exteriors Company could teach a master class on contractor/customer interactions. If you need exterior work done, call The Exteriors Company! FOR REAL. LENGTHY REVIEW STARTS HERE: It took over a year and a half and meeting with 15 roofing companies to finally find the right company for my job: The Exteriors Company. My house has a modern/Frank Lloyd Wright kinda vibe - lots of different roof sections and pitches. A majority of the first 15 contractors that bid on my roof repair wanted to sell me a new roof. The problem with my roof was a design flaw and a new roof would have eventually led to more water in my house. This was confirmed by an architect. If you look at the before and after photo, you can see how ridiculous the design was. We had water coming into our house anytime it rained and when the snow melted. It was awful. We were lucky enough to have Ryan (the owner of The Exteriors Company) come look at our roof. The first thing he said after climbing on to the roof was, "You need to redo this whole area," confirming what we already knew. That was the first clue that we found a good roofing contractor. After talking in person and over email with Ryan and getting the contract for the project, we knew we found the right company. Ryan was so communicative. He reached out regularly through the repair process. We had four different teams (framing, roofing, siding and gutters) work on our repair. We were notified in advance when to expect each team. Then each team project manager reached out via text a day or two before and the day of their work. Each team was on time and did beautiful work. They were also tidy and I felt like they respected our home and property. Shout out to Taylor Paar and Scott Mack (roofing project manager and siding manager). Both these fellows came to meet with me and my husband to review the work that was done and to make sure everything was done to our liking. And to make sure we didn't have any concerns or questions. The entire experience from start to finish was incredible. The Exteriors Company very obviously cares deeply about the quality of their work and customer satisfaction. If I could give more than five stars, I would gladly do that. I wish more contractors/vendors followed the playbook that The Exteriors Company has perfected. JOB ???????? WELL ???????? DONE ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Evansville Exterior Emergency Questions

Answered by Experts

Roughly an hour from a standing start, longer if a crew has to come off another job. We are about 28 miles out, which is further than most of our markets, and we would rather tell you that plainly than promise twenty minutes. When you call we will give you a real time and update you if it changes.

No. Our emergency tarping and repair pricing is the same in Evansville as in Madison. What distance affects is scheduling rather than cost.

Put a bucket underneath and puncture it in the centre with a screwdriver to drain it in a controlled way. A ceiling that collapses on its own does far more damage than a small hole you made on purpose — and because we are further out, this one matters more here than it would closer to town.

No. Wet roofs and storm conditions are how people get seriously hurt, and an improperly secured tarp usually makes the water entry worse. Contain the water inside and let us handle the roof.

We will tell you honestly. After a regional hail event every contractor within fifty miles is booked within a day, and we triage by active water entry rather than by who called first. If your ceiling is leaking you go ahead of a dry roof with missing shingles.

No. A tarp buys you weeks, not months. We schedule the permanent repair at the same visit so you are not calling back when the next system comes through.
