Evansville Hail & Storm Damage Restoration

Across 36 Evansville addresses we have completed 85 jobs — more than two services per house. That is not a coincidence. When hail hits a home here it rarely damages only the roof, and the difference between a claim that covers the house and one that covers a third of it is whether somebody documented all of it at once.

Local conditions

What a whole-house claim actually covers

Hail arrives at an angle and hits an entire elevation. Four components take it, and most claims scope one.

Roof

The part everyone inspects

Granules knocked loose, mat bruised underneath, invisible from the ground and no immediate leak. This is the part that gets looked at, and it is usually the largest single line item. It is also the part that opens the rest of the claim — once roof damage is established, the same-elevation components have a much easier path.

Siding

The part that gets argued

Hail cracks vinyl and dents aluminium and steel. Damage on a single elevation frequently triggers matching questions rather than a simple repair, because twenty-year-old siding does not match new stock. That is a policy conversation worth having before you accept a partial scope.

Windows and screens

The part that gets forgotten

Screens shred, frames dent, and glass chips. These are small line items individually and they add up, and almost nobody thinks to mention them. If they were damaged, they belong in the scope.

Gutters and downspouts

The cheapest thing to leave off

Dented, dimpled or torn loose. Low value per foot and routinely omitted, which is exactly why homeowners end up paying for gutters out of pocket six months after a claim closed. Reopening a closed claim is much harder than including it once.

How we handle a Evansville storm claim

Emergency response first, then a documented claim and a proper repair — across every exterior trade.

Whole-house documentation

Every elevation, every component. Roof, siding, windows, screens, gutters and fascia in one inspection.

We meet your adjuster

On site, with the documentation. This is where the scope is set and where components get included or dropped.

Matching provisions

Where a partial repair will not match, we document why and raise it while the claim is open.

Supplement filing

When the approved scope falls short of what the repair requires, we file for the difference.

Single-contract restoration

Roof, siding, gutters and windows under one contract and one crew schedule, sequenced properly.

Straight answers

If we do not think you have a claim, we will tell you. That is a shorter conversation than a denied one.

Details that matter

One event, one claim, one deductible

A single storm damaging four components is normally one claim rather than four. Knowing that changes what you ask for.

Work you skip and pay later

The deductible applies once to the event, not once per component, so a component left out of the scope is usually one you fund entirely yourself later. That is the whole argument for documenting everything while the claim is open. Be cautious of any contractor offering to cover your deductible — in Wisconsin that creates legal exposure for you as well as them.

I'm extremely impressed with the Exteriors company and their work. We had a strange door/lock issue, called MANY companies and the Exteriors Company was the only company willing to come and look at our door. They called me right back when I left a message, were on time for the appointment and did a wonderful job in fixing the problem. Tony and Andrew are the best! In addition to fixing the problem, they were extremely kind people, too. We need more of this in our world now. We are extremely grateful to have a working door again. Thank you! We will be using your company again and tell all of our friends about your services.

The Exteriors Company deserves 6 out of 5 ⭐ I cannot give them enough praise. I'll summarize here in case you don't want to read a lengthy review. The highlights were communication, quality of work, price, and customer service. I cannot wait to work with The Exteriors Company again. The Exteriors Company could teach a master class on contractor/customer interactions. If you need exterior work done, call The Exteriors Company! FOR REAL. LENGTHY REVIEW STARTS HERE: It took over a year and a half and meeting with 15 roofing companies to finally find the right company for my job: The Exteriors Company. My house has a modern/Frank Lloyd Wright kinda vibe - lots of different roof sections and pitches. A majority of the first 15 contractors that bid on my roof repair wanted to sell me a new roof. The problem with my roof was a design flaw and a new roof would have eventually led to more water in my house. This was confirmed by an architect. If you look at the before and after photo, you can see how ridiculous the design was. We had water coming into our house anytime it rained and when the snow melted. It was awful. We were lucky enough to have Ryan (the owner of The Exteriors Company) come look at our roof. The first thing he said after climbing on to the roof was, "You need to redo this whole area," confirming what we already knew. That was the first clue that we found a good roofing contractor. After talking in person and over email with Ryan and getting the contract for the project, we knew we found the right company. Ryan was so communicative. He reached out regularly through the repair process. We had four different teams (framing, roofing, siding and gutters) work on our repair. We were notified in advance when to expect each team. Then each team project manager reached out via text a day or two before and the day of their work. Each team was on time and did beautiful work. They were also tidy and I felt like they respected our home and property. Shout out to Taylor Paar and Scott Mack (roofing project manager and siding manager). Both these fellows came to meet with me and my husband to review the work that was done and to make sure everything was done to our liking. And to make sure we didn't have any concerns or questions. The entire experience from start to finish was incredible. The Exteriors Company very obviously cares deeply about the quality of their work and customer satisfaction. If I could give more than five stars, I would gladly do that. I wish more contractors/vendors followed the playbook that The Exteriors Company has perfected. JOB ???????? WELL ???????? DONE ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Evansville Storm damage questions

Answered by Experts

Very often, on the elevation the storm came from. Hail arrives at an angle and hits a whole face of the house, not just the top of it. Our own numbers here tell the story — across 36 Evansville addresses we completed 85 jobs, which means the average home needed more than two services. Get every elevation inspected before the scope is set.

Normally no. A single storm event is typically one claim with one deductible, however many components were damaged. That is precisely why leaving something out of the scope is expensive — you do not save a deductible by skipping it, you just pay retail for it later.

It depends on your policy’s matching provisions and on whether a partial repair can reasonably match. Twenty-year-old siding does not match new stock even in the same colour code, and that is a documented, arguable point rather than an opinion. It is worth raising while the claim is open.

Screens, gutters, downspouts and window frames, roughly in that order. Individually they are small; together they are frequently thousands of dollars. They are also the items nobody thinks to mention, because homeowners look at the roof and adjusters scope what they were shown.

It depends on your policy, and many carriers set a window of roughly one year from the date of loss. The clock runs from the storm date rather than from when you noticed the damage.

No. You choose who works on your home. Insurers can suggest a preferred vendor, but the decision is yours — and a contractor who only does roofs has no reason to raise your siding.
